Scott Jennings is absolutely right about RealID
Read about it here. And do not use RealID. This thing needs to look like a gigantic waste of money on the next ActiBlizzard balance sheet.

Seems like something you can, for the moment, dodge.
The current friends functionality will continue there's just this opt-in extra functionality.
I do think it's a slippery slope that we're on, if 9.9m/10m WoW players are cool about handing out real names then why would Blizzard bother catering for the rest of us next time round?
I do have contingency plans, fake internet ID here I come.
